Calendar Photo | U.S. Peace Corps Association of Returned Volunteers | 2006 Edition

I took this photo Carlito Laudijo Jr. peeking from the door of his house when I was staying with his family in the small fishing village of Lomboy during our Peace Corps training. Although the family of eight didn’t have much room in their small nipa hut, they generously welcomed me in to their house. I slept on the floor with them during the time our Peace Corps group was in their community doing a practice run for a coastal resource management assessment. This photo ran in the 2006 edition of the International Calendar published by the U.S. Peace Corps Association of Returned Volunteers in Madison, Wisconsin.
