Dolphins at Night – Travel Story | Philippine Airlines | Mabuhay Magazine | Tañon Strait

In November 2007, Mabuhay magazine ran a special feature called “Animal Encounters”, and they included a story I wrote about seeing spinner dolphins swimming in the bioluminescent plankton at midnight in the Tañon Strait on the way back from Apo Island. To this day, seeing the dolpins glowing like greenish ghosts in the indigo-blue water beneath a starry, moonless sky is one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
