In November 2008, I met my brother in Bali for a surf trip. The rainy season isn’t the best time to surf Bali, so we were always looking for waves around the island. My friend Edi Sïswanto had surfed Lombok before so we decided to give it a try. After taking the Bali coastal road to Padangbai and loading our motorbikes on the local ferry (only $5 one-way!) to Senggigi we were on our way. I wrote this feature for the April issue of Mabuhay magazine about our Bali to Lombok surf road trip.
