Komodo National Park – Best Photos & Video from Seven Seas Liveaboard

Komodo is famous for its legendary dragons, but Indonesia's National Park is also one of the best dive destinations anywhere on earth.

With healthy coral reefs teeming with the tiniest tropical fish to large pelagic species such as sharks and mantas, it's one of the most amazing places I've been lucky enough to go diving.

Speaking of lucky, this trip was the second on board the Seven Seas for 2017 and was every bit as amazing as the East of Flores trip. Owner and friend Jos was onboard and leading us through the best of the National Park that he helped set up more than ten years ago.

From unbelievable encounters with Komodo dragons, to diving with mantas, to snorkeling and freediving the beautiful shallow reefs, to trekking the iconic landscapes, every day was an adventure of a lifetime.

At night the skies were clear every night, giving unbelieveable views of the Milky Way and galaxies of stars, some of the best conditions for night photography I've seen anywhere.

So this is a quick overview of twelve days of diving, snorkeling, stargazing, and trekking across Indonesia's wildlife paradise of Komodo National Park.
