Bohol

Bohol is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines, known for its ‘Chocolate Hills’ and also the great diving around Alona Beach on Panglao Island. I spent more than two months in Tagbilaran, Bohol during my Peace Corps training in 2004, and was lucky to make the trip back there several times in the past six years or so. Some highlights of Bohol for me are Vicky’s Bohol Bee Farm, getting to know divemaster Holger Horn on Alona Beach, visiting the Balicasag Marine Sanctuary, and going dolphin watching from Pamilacan Island.
