Best Photos of 2016: Surf and Travel Photos from Bali and Beyond

Just wanted to share a few of the highlights from 2016.

I think a lot of what I love about being a traveling storyteller with a camera is that I never really know where the year is going to take me, and this past one was definitely no exception.

Had the chance to visit some of my all-time favorite spots and explore many new ones.

From the first trip of the year to Northern Thailand, paddling the Mekong and shooting with my friend Pierre from FOOL Moon stand up paddle boards to finishing the year's travels with a trip to the jungles of Borneo to trek with a local tribe there, check out a parade of traditional dress, to visiting the orangutans at Camp Leakey, to photographing the scariest surfing wave I've ever seen - I never imagined where the road would take me, but I'm so thankful for the ride.

Big highlights were a return trip to Tubbataha in the Philippines thanks to my friend Angelique, finally getting in that fishing trip to Dumaguete, and joining an amazing group of friends on a surf trip to Sri Lanka - a country I've been dreaming of visiting ever since seeing the second Indiana Jones movie.

Lots more highlights in between, but here's a few of my favorite moments all together in this little gallery - hope you enjoy 🙂
Best,
Tommy
