A green sea turtle swims in the brightly-lit shallows within the Tubbataha United Nations World Heritage reef in the middle of the Sulu Sea; Palawan; Philippines. Tubbataha is protected year-round by a hardy group of park rangers who live for three months at a time in a small building that resembles a space station on stilts over one of the reef's larger sand bars.
