A deserted tropical island is one of my favorite locations for travel photography. After living in the Philippines and Indonesia, both archipelago countries made up of more than 24,000 islands between them, I’ve had the opportunity to visit small tropical islands, big tropical islands, deserted tropical islands, crowded tropical islands, and many variations in between. Fringed with white sand, shaded by tall palm trees, and surrounded by sapphire-blue water, a tropical island is one of my favorite places to be in the world.
