Southeast Asia is made up of two geographic regions located south of China, east of India, and north of Australia. The regions include: the Asian mainland (Indochina) and the island archipelagos such as Indonesia and the Philippines located to the east and southeast. The countries included are: Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and Peninsular Malaysia with the maritime section consisting of Brunei, East Malaysia, East Timor, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Singapore. I’ve been based in Southeast Asia since 2004 when I accepted a U.S. Peace Corps assignment in the Philippines. Many of the photos you’ll find here on my website were shot around the wild(er) places of Southeast Asia, with the most significant collections coming from the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.
