South Asia (638 Photos) |

South Asia is a geographical region that includes the sub-Himalayan countries such as India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. So far, I’ve only visited India and Nepal in South Asia, but the experiences I’ve had there makes me want to go back. This photo gallery covers photos from Nepal, including Kathmandu and the Kathmandu Valley and Bhaktapur, as well as the Annapurna Base Camp trek near Pokhara, and a traverse through India that took me north of Delhi to Manali, on to Leh in Ladakh, south to Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh, down into Shimla and a return to Delhi via the ‘Toy Train’, a connection to Jaisalmer in Rajasthan via an overnight train, then Jodhpur, the Taj Mahal in Agra, then east to Varanasi and the Ganges River. Whew. That was a lot of chicken curry, chai tea, naan bread, and channa masala! | ||
