There’s really no place on earth like Bali. I’ve thought a lot about this as I’ve lived here for long stretches of time starting in 2007. I can’t think of another island that has the same mix of a very strong cultural identity, beautiful landscape, great local and international restaurants, world-class beaches, world-class surfing, and interesting expats all tied together by one of the cheapest regional airline networks in the world (thanks a lot to Air Asia). Bali is my home base today, and many of the photos you’ll find here are from this incredible place. Bali bagus!
