Balangan Beach is the closest surf beach to my house, and I go there all the time. I love the laid-back vibe, friendly locals who run the warungs (my favorite is the Caracol Warung to the left as you enter the beach). Balangan is just beside the over-developed craziness of Dreamland and still retains the authentic beach scene and amazing Indian Ocean waves that motivates millions of people to travel thousands and thousands of miles to visit Bali every year.
