Apo Island Underwater Photography: One of the Best Coral Reefs in the Philippines

Apo Island is one of the best destinations for underwater photography that I've ever experienced. With healthy expanses of hard and soft coral reef teeming with brilliantly-colored schools of tropcial fish such as clown fish, damsel fish, and moorish idols as well as rare and endangered sea turtle species such as hawksbill and green turtles, you're very likely to find an amazing underwater shot at one of Apo's many and diverse dive spots. I was lucky to make the trip from Bali to the Philippines in October 2009 and a trip to the Philippines for me wouldn't be complete without several days spent out at Apo. Thanks again to my great friend Liberty for inviting me to stay at her beautiful Apo Island beach resort for this trip, I'm looking forward to getting back as soon as I can!
