Camel Trekking India's Great Thar Desert Near Jaisalmer, Rajasth

Camel trekking across the dunes of the Great Thar Desert was the best activity I did when I was in Jaisalmer. Located about 70 miles from the Pakistani border, the Thar desert stretches to the western horizon of India with shifting dunes of golden sand. Now, riding on a camel is not one of my favorite things to do. Not exactly comfortable to sit six or eight feet off the ground on top of an irritable, smelly beast that doesn't particularly seem to enjoy having humans ride it. And did I mention they will bite you? This gallery covers all of my favorite highlights from camel trekking in Jaisalmer.
