Palawan Sunrise over Tubbataha Reef

For this ocean sunrise picture I used a 3 stop graduated neutral density filter made by Singh-Ray to balance the bright(er) sky with the darker blue water in the foreground. A good neutral density filter transitions from a dark grey section to a clear section so that all you need to do is line up the filter with the horizon line and the light intensity will be balanced.
